RBH & RBHMC Awarded Diamond by NHRA

RBH and RBH Medical Center become the First Hospital and Medical Center in Bahrain to be awarded Diamond Status in the NHRA Accreditation Survey

Royal Bahrain Hospital and RBH Medical Center have raised the bar in healthcare quality standards by achieving the Diamond Status in the NHRA (National Health Regulatory Authority) Accreditation. The Diamond Status is the highest level of accreditation that is awarded by the NHRA.

With this accreditation, both RBH and RBHMC have become the first Hospital and Medical Center, respectively in the Kingdom to achieve this Quality milestone. This accreditation demonstrates the organization’s commitment to the people of Bahrain and the region in providing the highest quality of healthcare.

Dr. Sheriff Sahadulla, Executive Director said “It is our great pleasure and privilege to be awarded the Diamond Status for the accreditation by the NHRA.   This achievement is a testimony to the high quality healthcare that our organization delivers and is only possible due to the dedication and hard work of our entire staff.  We strive to give our very best to our patients in clinical as well as non-clinical aspects of healthcare.   We are very proud of this achievement, but we also feel that quality in healthcare is a process of continuous improvement, and we will not rest on our laurels.  Our aim is to continue to raise the level of care we provide to all of our patients. “

The survey was conducted by 12 members of the NHRA, specialized in Healthcare Accreditation, held over 2 days in May 2017. Both RBH and RBHMC were assessed on accreditation standards based on international best practice to ensure the highest quality of healthcare in a patient safe environment.

RBH and RBHMC have also been accredited by ACHSI (Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International), first in 2012 and then re-accredited in 2014 and 2016.
